I am an accredited, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I trained in Person Centred, Gestalt and Psychodynamic theories and currently use a mix of these. However, my preferred way of working is using IFS (Internal Family Systems) with a transpersonal, wild therapy approach.

I work with clients aged 13-70. I have counselled for NHS North Bristol Trust and have been school counsellor at two secondary schools. I have worked for the Priory, Bristol. I currently also work at the University of Bath as Specialist Mentor (Mental Health and ASC) in the Disability Service.

I have worked for over 20 years in primary, secondary, further and higher education, and also in the Steiner tradition. I have a full DBS (police) check which can be viewed.

I love working with people who feel they don’t quite fit and have had many clients of all ages who identify or are diagnosed as autistic / ASD / ASC / Aspergers. I have given several trainings to other counsellors and groups to enable them to work more effectively with this client group.

Currently I am Co-Chair of a large counselling organisation, called CaPPP. I’ve been on the committee for several years. Through CaPPP I keep connected to the current issues concerning counsellors and psychotherapists, help organise training and CPD events for those in the profession. It also allows me to access a wide range of highly experienced individuals and means I can efficiently refer clients on if I do not have space, or if they need a highly specialised service.

Classic 50 minute sessions once per week – £50 per session

These sessions are good for people who want to follow the traditional model of therapy – one session a week for a number of weeks. This gives time for gentle exploration and for us to really get to know each other.

At present I am holding these virtually, in my garden, or in a local public space.

Intense sessions of 2 hours – £150 per session

These sessions are great if you don’t want to commit to weeks / months / years of therapy and want to work on something very contained and specific. (Garden, virtual or local public space)

***

On location outdoor sessions

Held at Avebury or Westonbirt (toilets and cafe available) or Stanton Drew (no toilets or cafe) 2 hours £200, 3 hours £250

These sessions are fantastic for anyone who prefers to be out of doors and thinks they might want to bring nature / history / bigger perspective into our work. The extra cost takes my travel / admission / parking etc into account.

Of course you can feel free to try out different options and we can reflect on what works best for you.
