About me

Some people are happy to know nothing about their counsellors, some need more information before choosing and trusting a counsellor.

Here is some information about me. Please contact me if there is anything else you would like to know.

I am a qualified Counsellor, an Accredited, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The BACP is one of the three main professional organisations for Counselling in the UK.  I became Accredited with the BACP in July 2017.

I counsel all ages, having adult and adolescent clients. I have counselled for NHS North Bristol Trust and have been school counsellor at two secondary schools. I have worked for the Priory. Visit my counselling pages for more information. I currently also work at the University of Bath as Specialist Mentor (Mental Health and ASC) in the Disability Service.

I have worked in diverse educational settings for over 20 years and for the last eight years have specialised in mentoring and counselling children and adolescents.

I have a full DBS (police) check which can be viewed.

Currently I am Co-Chair of a large counselling organisation in the South West, called CaPPP. I've been on the committee for several years. Through CaPPP I keep connected to the current issues concerning counsellors and psychotherapists, help organise training and CPD events for those in the profession. It also allows me to access a wide range of highly experienced individuals and means I can efficiently refer clients on if I do not have space, or if they need a highly specialised service.

Please see my Qualifications.
